Eminate Foundation is an independent initiative founded by Emihle Bande, driven by a vision of creating safer, more supportive and empowering environments for children, young people, families and communities.
The foundation seeks to contribute to positive social change through initiatives that promote child protection, well-being, education, learning, innovation, technology and family support.
We believe that every child deserves protection, every individual deserves an opportunity to learn, and every community has the potential to grow when given access to the right support and resources.
Our work is guided by the belief that meaningful change begins with awareness, compassion, education and collective action.
Our Focus Areas
- Child Protection: Promoting children’s rights, safety, dignity and protection.
- Well-being and Counselling: Encouraging emotional wellness, mental health awareness and access to supportive resources.
- Education and Learning: Making educational opportunities, information and learning resources more accessible.
- Innovation and Technology: Exploring creative and technological solutions to social and educational challenges.
- Family Support: Promoting stronger families, supportive relationships and healthier communities.
Through our growing initiatives, including MindWave Radio, Eminate Kids and Eminate WonderWorld, we aim to create accessible platforms that educate, engage and empower.
Eminate Foundation is currently developing its organisational structures, programmes and partnerships as it works towards formal registration.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Emihle Bande
Founder of Eminate Foundation | Social Innovator | Aspiring Social Development Leader
Emihle Bande is a young South African social work student, aspiring social innovator and the founder of Eminate Foundation.
Her vision is rooted in the belief that positive change should not be limited to traditional institutions or established systems. She believes that individuals, particularly young people, have the ability to identify social challenges, develop creative solutions and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
With interests in child protection, social development, education and technological innovation, Emihle is passionate about exploring innovative ways of making education, awareness and support more accessible.
Her experiences in social work, youth development, student leadership and international collaborative initiatives have contributed to her interest in creating platforms that connect knowledge, creativity and community empowerment.
Through Eminate Foundation, she hopes to build an initiative that brings together education, social awareness, technology and community-centred development.
MindWave Radio reflects one part of this vision: using the power of broadcasting and communication to make learning accessible, encourage meaningful conversations and inspire people to think beyond their immediate circumstances.
Her vision is simple: to help create a safer, brighter and more empowered future for every child.
